The Marinette County trail reports have been updated today, January 6th and are posted on marinettecosnowtrails.com. Some of the trails in the southern part of the county remain closed due to a lack of snow and crops still in the fields. Others are open but still dealing with very wet areas and advise caution. Swamps are a mess yet. How the heck can that be with all these sub zero temps?!
A note of special interest to readers of this forum is this latest update I just got from Tony Z (president od Pemenee River Riders):
The Niagara - Aurora trail section is now OPEN! They just open the gates and haven't had a chance to groom it yet. Will be groomed by the week end. That's good news for lots of our members and followers who use that section. The landowners had requested it be closed until they were done with hunting. Florence County has opened their side of the trail also. Happy Trails Kids!
