Greetings Sled Heads,

Just wondering if anyone is planning on attending the pinch from Racers to Diamond Dave's this Saturday? The stop at Diamond Dave's is new, but it's on the way to where we used to go.

Give a shout if you plan on going.

Remember some years this ride was doubtful or even called off because there just wasn't any snow down in the Crooked Lake area? Well, NOT this year! Snow and more snow! It's going to be a blast! Hope a lot of folks can make it this year!

This is the trail report from today, at least part of the ride will be on the Iron Snowshoe trails. Looks darn good. Not to mention the fact that Thursday could bring another good snow storm. I'll share that report too.....Trail report first:

IRON SNOWSHOE: The trails are in excellent condition with 4" of new snow. We're grooming regularly. Very good riding! Awesome! Excellent! Best ever! and so on.

Howdy Couch Spuds,

The Racer's pinch is in the books. Once again, all of you who didn't attend missed out on a great event. Lots of snow, trails were smooth, sun was shinning, temps were decent. We had a good group for the ride. No terminal beak downs, good food, good company. Fun raffles & door prises. Someday the rest of you should come out and enjoy a day of vintage fun.

I would like to send out a huge thank you to the Thunder Lake Lodge & Diamond Dave's for hosting the group!

“ The 6th Annual Racer & Lana Rae’s Vintage Fun Day” was another fun event! Racer has sold the bar to Lee Schmidt and it is now known as [b[i]]“Thunder Lake Lodge”. [/i][/b]You may remember Lee from when he owned the Wheel Inn. This ride used to take off from there and we always had a “blast”…..do you remember the time the guy set off that cannon to start the ride?! Boom! Loud Boom! We welcome Lee back to the bar business and wish him well with this new endeavor.

We’ll miss Racer. He and Lana Rae were always very generous and supportive of our club. We wish Racer the best wherever life may take him. Hope he stays in touch. Remember Racer, the ride is always the last Saturday in February and we’d love to have you join us on the ride! Stay in touch!

And a big thank you to Diamond Dave! This was a new stop for this ride and he welcomed us with good hot soup and good cold beer. We had a few raffles there and thanks to Dave for the generous donations! I’m sure lots of us will be stopping by Diamond Dave’s again soon!
