I would like to try to cover the southern portion of Marinette County this year seeing they got good snow early in the season and there trails were open already in the Coleman area, that is until yesterday when the weather went nuts.
However things are froze up good and there is a base established so if we can only get snow we should be good to go! So here is the proposed flight plan?!
Wednesday Jan. 18th. Unload sleds and start out at the Gateway Bar & Grill north parking lot. NEWLBVR show location and
Park & Ride R on the Marinette County Snowmobile and ATV/UTV Map. We will want to start the ride promptly at 9:00am. Head out of Crivitz towards the west and get on Corridor 18W then take the trail south that goes to White Potato Lake. First gas stop opportunity will be at the G3 Gas/Convenience Station right on the trail and on Hwy 64. Then continue south for a ways , then east towards Coleman. Gas available in Colman as well. Then we will head south on Corridor 5 a little ways and have lunch at Ray's Boneyard Saloon, which is also right on the trail and Hwy 141. After lunch we'll head back towards the north on Corridor 5 which will take us to Coleman, then Pound and back to Crivitz. Or if time permits and all is going well,
we can take a northeasterly loop to Loomis and then back to Crivitz on Corridor 18.
Weather is a big factor here!?
We don't always get adequate snow in this area but as I said earlier they got a good start and hopefully it will be very good on the 18th.
