Last Chance?

There is still riding to be had! Northern Marinette County is looking pretty darn sweet. You can look at the pictures Tony Z posted without being signed on to Face Book. Just type in Face Book and then New Low Buck Vintage Riders Snowmobile Club. You should be able to see the stuff on there without being signed up as a face book user. Try it and see.

Anyway, here is the trail report for Tuesday, March 25th, hot off the press......

Trail Conditions    Tuesday, March 25, 2014

DUN-GOOD RIDERS: Trails are open and we are grooming. The trail base is still in good late season condition with enough loose snow for cooling and lubrication. Plowed roads are bare, but trails are snow covered. Atv's and utv's are allowed on the Dun-Good trails.

PEMENEE RIVER RIDERS:  Trails are unreal for this late in the season. We are grooming and conditions are good, avoid plowed roads. Go to Pemenee River Riders Face Book page to see pictures taken while grooming on Monday, March 24th. Atv's and utv's are allowed on most of the trails. Obey the signs!

NOTE: Due to unreasonable demands by the Marinette County Highway Department, we are recommending you DO NOT use the Pembine to Niagara trails! If you do, you must follow state statues for distance OFF the roadway and headlights must be going with traffic after dark. Again, Pemenee River Riders club is NOT recommending this! The trail between Niagara and Aurora is open and groomed. Please watch for ICE AHEAD signs on Brown Spur Road (the north loop from Pembine to Dunbar) as a culvert is frozen over and water on the road has frozen into ice. Slow down and use caution!

NEAR NORTH: Our trails from Benson Lake Rd to the north still remain in good riding condition. But caution is advised as the trails are quite icy from the ice melting during the day and then re-freezing over night. We have stopped grooming for this winter season.  Atv's and utv's are allowed on most of the trail but not all. Obey the signs.

IRON SNOWSHOE: Trails south of County Highway C  are closed. Trails north of Highway C are in good winter riding condition, but we are no longer grooming. The trails north of Highway C will remain open to atv and utv traffic until the spring break up.

RANGER CITY RIDERS: Trails are open, flat and in good late season condition. We are not grooming. There are bare spots. Watch for lots of ice from the daytime thawing and refreezing at night. Atv's and utv's are not allowed at any time.

RIVER ROAD RIDERS: Trails remain open at this time but we are not grooming. Trails may close by the week end depending on the weather. Trails are rideable but we're losing some base every day. Atv's and utv's are not allowed at any time.

KUMALONG SNO-RIDERS: Trails are CLOSED. Atv's & utv's are not allowed at any time.

BAGLEY-BRAZEAU JOYRIDERS: Trails are CLOSED. Atv's & utv's are not allowed at any time.

***Trails are still in good late season riding condition. Plowed roads are bare. The best riding conditions will be found north of County Highway C. Two of the southern clubs have closed their trails, Kumalong and Bagley-Brazeau and Iron Snowshoe is closed SOUTH of Hwy C. Conditions change rapidly at this time of the year so please check with the individual clubs for the latest updates. Never ride on closed trails or we will lose them! Know before you go! ***
