We are sadden to pass along the news of the unexpected passing of Judith Rische. She was a club member and her husband Dave is one of the club's directors. The funeral service will be tomorrow, January 30th. See the article for details. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Rische family at this difficult time.

Judith Rische    Judith "Judy" A. Rische, age 72, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, January 26, 2014. She was born on January 20, 1942 in Sheboygan to parents Elwood and Virgina (Frank) Splittgerber. Judy graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1961. Judy married David Rische on April 28, 1962 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and last year celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. She enjoyed working for 30 plus years with the Sheboygan Area School System and retiring in 2012. Judy enjoyed participating in Girl Scouting, 4H activities, and attended many theatrical performances with family and friends. Judy spent her summers at their cottage in Northern Wisconsin. She will be remembered for her good sense of humor and her easy going personality. Judy is survived by her husband, David Rische, two daughters; Nicole (Robert) Dragan and Michele (Anthony) Cyr, three grandchildren; Nadine Dragan; Michael and Melanie Cyr. Twin sister, Janice Widra, Sherry Hunt, brother Steven (Lisa) Splittgerber. Also loved by other relatives and friends.Preceded in death by parents, granddaughter Ashley Cyr, brothers-in-law; Earl Widra and Curtis Hunt. Gathering at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove), on Thursday, January 30 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Memorial Service at 12 Noon with Rev. Very sorry to hear of Judy's passing. I remember meeting Judy several times in the early years of the club, at parades and outings that we used to do back then. She was lots of fun and had a real good sense of humor. I remember sharing laughs with her! Unfortunately, Pat & I will not be able to attend the services today. I'm hoping some of our club members who live in that area will be there on behalf of the club. I apologize for the short notice, I just learned of this last evening.  RIP Judy and prayers to Dave.
