I received this information about a vintage event in Lakewood that you may be interested in attending. The vintage display is just part of the planned events. It's for charity and a good event so we're glad to share this info. If you need more info, the contacts are listed in the email I received from them. Thanks! "Miss Star Fire"
Hello,
I represent the Wheeler Lake Association and we are having our 5th annual Ice Fishing Jamboree on Saturday, February 21st. Our event's mission is to create an entertainment destination for non ice fishing people, including snowmobilers. We have a large heated tent with live entertainment during the day. We thought that since we are right on a snowmobile trail, we would like to get the attention of the snowmobilers by hosting a vintage snowmobile show.
Dave Thomson, The president of the Paul Bunyan riders snowmobile club, recommended that I reach out to your organization as a possibility for supplying vintage snowmobiles for the show.
I know that this is late notice to put together something for this years event, but I thought it would be worth a chance.
Please let me know if your organization would be interested in participating. You can reach me via this email, or by calling my cell phone at 920–655–6654.
Thank you,
Joe Gmack
SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Our event, the Wheeler Lake Association Ice Fishing Jamboree, is a fundraising event for the not for profit, 501.3c Wheeler Lake Association located in Lakewood, Wisconsin. We hold this event annually to raise funds for the betterment of Wheeler Lake. In the past 4 years, we have raised over $9,000.00 to fight Eurasian milfoil, build fish cribs, and restock the lake with Walleye.
The event is held on the ice at the boat landing of Wheeler Lake. Event parking is on the lake near the tent. We charge the fishermen $10 to be part of the event, but the purpose of the vintage snowmobiles would be purely as an attraction to draw non-fishermen to our event during the day. There would not be a competition of the vintage snowmobiles this year, merely just a display of the snowmobiles. However, if there is interest in having an annual show competition, we would be happy to host it as part of our jamboree.
I hope this email was helpful explaining who we are and what we are looking for. It would be a wonderful addition to our family event. One that would grow with us and in turn bring new patrons to our event to help us raise funds.
Thanks,
Joel
