How About Those Dogs!

Saturday, January 10, 2015 "Annual Hot Dog Ride".

The hot dogs were about the only thing that was hot on Saturday, January 10th when 9 hearty souls left the Dun-Good Riders building for a ride out to Kidd Lake along the Dun-Good Riders trails. Everyone was impressed with the good trails and amazed at how much snow we have up here! Trails were amazing! Sleds ran great! Riders made good time! So good in fact that,  Fire Starter Mike and his passenger, Miss Star Fire, had just barely arrived at the spot when the riders got there! But have no fear. Mike had the fire going in no time and pretty soon out came the Big Flask with the Bloody Mary's. Soon hot dogs were a' roasting and the stories were a' flying. The sun was shining, the wind was clam, it was actually a pretty nice day despite the early morning temp of -19. Then it was time to head back so we all returned to the club building to just hang out and visit. It was a very fun group to be with! Thanks Guys! A gallant effort was made to empty the flask, but Premix had to complete that task later at home. Dang! That thing holds a lot! So Hot Dog Ride + vintage sleds + cold temps + great trails + great people = a success! See 'ya next time!    I agree, the trails were excellent! Had a great time getting the old sled out for the first time this year. Here are a few pics roasting hot dogs by the fire. The secret potion premix had in the flask sure hit the spot on a cold,sunny day!
