Trail users know how important it is to support each other, right? The motorized sports need to stick together to preserve our favorite pastime. Here's the scoop.....
There are NO ATV TRAILS IN VILAS COUNTY and lots of the green people are fighting hard to keep it that way. The only problem is they are making use of non-truths and scare tactics. The Wisconsin ATV / UTV Association (WATVA) is asking trail users and trail supporters to send an email or make a phone call saying you're in favor of atv trails in Vilas County. Please go to
www.watva.org for more information, or on
www.dungood.com or the NEWLBVR Face Book page or the Dun-Good Riders Face Book page for all the details and the address for each supervisor on the board. It explains how you can write just one email and send it to all the addresses without typing them all in. Please remember to be polite and factual with your comments. Also thank them for taking the time to read your email and that you hope they will consider the matter in an open minded manner.
There is a meeting of the board to deal with this issue on Tuesday, July 22nd at 6 PM at the Arbor Vita town hall. If possible please attend the meeting to show support. The opposition is getting their people all organized for this but we'd sure like to show them there is much more support FOR trails than there is opposition. Some of us will attend the meeting in person. We'll let you know how it goes.
Apparently it's the snowmobile capital of the world but NO THANKS to atv's. The business places want this, the riders want this. This has been going on for 10 years already! And now it is about to come to a head...and a good outcome, we hope! But, well, you know it's all politics....and small town politics at that.

Many snowmobilers also enjoy the trails on atv's, summer & winter so I hope you'll help with this cause. Lots of information on the WATVA site so check that out. Thanks much!
