Here's something new to try this year. Let's see if we can get a group together to go (or meet up) there. Let me know if you're interested. LAVSA is a great club, lots of fun and good vintage sled heads. They support our club so let's return the favor.
The LAVSA will hosting there Rader Runs at Alaska Lake, Kewaunee, WI on February 8th 2014. Registration opens at 7am and racing starts at 8am,Sat. Feb. 9th. Classes for radar runs are for stock, mod, vintage, motorcycle & wheelers. Studded and non studded.
The vintage snocross starts at 1pm, this includes 5 classes to be ran. 0-300 { single and twin}, 0-440{ fan, free air and liq}, 2-man class{driver and passenger switch every lap}, Old man class{driver must be at least 40 years young} And last will be the open class{ Any cc single, twin, or tripple cyl. mod or stock run what you brung} All sleds must have leaf springs and must be 85 and older. 10 bucks a class, so lets have fun.
We will also have a vintage show throughout the day which is free of charge to enter. At 11am we will be having a vintage ride around the lake and everyone is welcome to ride along. There will be trophys handed out in all classes. We will also have a WARM beverage tent with burgers, soup and foot long hot dogs, plenty of beer{ 3 cans for $5} soda and water. We will be spinning the prize wheel throughout the day for a chance to win Food, beer and soda. Also a campfire on the lake. We will also be drawing the winner for are raffle sled at the end of day.
