The Florence-Spread Eagle Ride!
That’s right, a ride on Sunday! After you get all your work done on Saturday, come on out and enjoy the trails on Sunday. No football games to watch and less traffic on the trails. These trails are usually groomed late on Saturday/very early Sunday morning so they are in great shape. Riders should meet at the large parking lot by the bank in downtown Florence and be ready to pull the ropes at 10:30 AM. Repo Man (John) will guide us out of town, through the Spread Eagle Barrens on our way to a lunch stop at the Chuck Wagon in Spread Eagle (lunch & beverages on your own) followed by a return trip to Florence via the rail grade. Total mileage is about 30 miles and does not go into Michigan so no stickers needed. Bring your camera along! Lots of scenery in the Barrens, a great photo op at the overlook, as well as lots of rolling hills! Please contact Repo Man for more information (contact info on the forum or in the newsletter). Everyone is welcome to ride with us. You do not need to be a club member. You do not need a vintage sled either, “super sleds” may ride too, but way in the back! Any age of sled and any age of rider can join us.
