Greetings Sled Heads!
The big event is approaching! This Saturday is the pinch from Racer's & LanaRae's to The Pines on Crooked Lake outside of Crivitz. This event is alway's well attended and it looks like there will be snow.

So load up your vintage iron, mix up a fresh batch of motion lotion, tweak your tilly & put your vintage iron on the trail. I haven't heard if there will be a Barn Fresh raffle sled this year or what time we will pull the ropes. If someone has the facts, take a minute to post them on this thread for all to see.

Remember: this is the North East Wisconsin Chapter of the Low Buck Vintage RIDERS

If you don't put your vintage iron on the trails, it vintage abuse!!!!

The people who gave me their email got this information in an email I sent out last week, before the re-scheduled Florence/Spread Eagle ride. Yes there will be a barn fresh and pull the ropes at 11.

Next ride would be the Racer's-Pines Pinch on the 23rd. I have not received any updated info or posters regarding this ride so I am going with what we've done in the past. Meet at Racer's, W15375 Cty Highway W (715-757-2520) pull the ropes at 11 AM ride to The Pines on Crooked Lkae and then back to Racer's. Food, beverages, raffles, "barn fresh" sled raffle, 50/50 raffles etc. No charge to register or ride. Don't need to be a club member. Don't need to have a vintage sled. Just come to have fun. Plan to spend the day. No charge registration begins at 10 AM (Racers bar openss at 9 AM). Pull the ropes at 11 AM. The Pines on Crooked Lake (715-276-6226) has new owners, Paul & Krystal DuBois, so let's show them what this vintage stuff is all about! I think we're going to have several "visitors" along this time and I think they'll see how alive and well the vintage spirit really is.

I will post more info about this ride on the forum and on the home page of the web site. Please watch for that as well as updates on trails in that area as the date gets closer. Please pass this info on to your vintage sled head friends. Thank You!" (I was planning on giving an updated trail report on Thurs but it's safe to say the trails are in good>very good condition.)

Whats the deal ? 19 views & no responses.

Is anyone planning on going? Oneski, you have a weekender near Racers? Mercmike, you have lots of iron that needs to get on the trail, W-Jetter's, Our fearless leader; Autolube? and the missing in action Chairman of Fun, Bear? What about Spraygas?, Miss "Star" Fire & Premix? YamaBob & Sue? Big George? Keith & company? Tony? Dale the Ski Doo King?

The only one with an excuse is Free Air. He's in Canada in a blizzard and -27 temps, ice fishing.

What about the parent club? Hippy, Uncle Henry? Big Mike? Brand-X, Thin Ice, Phil Van...? What about you guys?

Hey Ray, is the Bone Yard Crew going to make an appearence this year?

Remeber, recent winters have ended the sled season by March, so don't miss out on this great vintage event!!!

We were thinking about coming up there but Del is planing a ride in Seymour so I think we will go there only 1/2 hour from home.

I wish we had more weekends to ride the old Iron and the new Iron? Just cant fit everything in one winter anymore

I know, I know.... I think Im with Mr. Jetter!!! About 20 mins away for me.. Not enough good riding weekends!!! I wish the trails would open in Mid December and stay open all year, that would give me some good riding time... I have to get the "supers" out yet this year also $:-\$ Hope to catch ya'll next time have fun, ride safe, take some pics!!

It was a good day at Racer/Pines ride, it was a little warmer than I like it to be, the Scorpion was very pissed off at the temps

it finally quit running at the pines

so I enjoyed a few of these

to give it a cool down period, well when we went to leave she fired up again

the trip back was worse than the trip over she finally quit again 100 yards from Racers

but I held the throttle wide open and she fired up again to finish the ride

no way I'm getting one of Repomans awards

of course he was right behind me watching and probaly already digging for the piston burner award. Guess there was at least one break down Bear had troubles but limbed it back, same as me, seems there was at least 45 sleds on site, thanks low Buck for a good event.

Good pictures Sparygas! I'll get the number of sleds and some info posted later. We had a delay in getting home and stopped to eat and I haven't gone through the stuff yet. It was a nice ride and a good time. Nothing serious happened to anyone and even the few break downs didn't spoil the fun! It's all good
