Title: GPX restoration
Post by: Autolube on November 08, 2009, 05:03:55 PM
My youngest son (Bryan) came over today to buff out and polish the hood of the SRX. :D
He did such a nice job it prompted me to get out the GPX. I got him to shine that one up as well. :thumb:
I have been meaning to revisit and re-evaluate this project sled any way, it was definately put on HOLD last spring when the SRX came. ::)

This sled really doesn't have a whole lot more to being complete. :-[
Under the hood it needs a clutch and carburaters. On the hood it needs......(you guessed it) windshield and graphics. rofl

I have been scratching away at this restoration as much as I could this summer. I actually started this project 10 years ago. :banghead: Not that I have been working on it for 10 years straight. It just always seemed to take a rather low priority to other sleds. :dunno:
But NO more! Today I fired up the motor. First time this motor has ran in probably at least 20 years or more. It needs tuning, but it gonna come together for the upcoming season. :thumb:
