Our Pay Pal system and electronic memberships work great! I've received a few new memberships paid via out Pay Pal account. Then the follow through of transferring the money from Pay Pal to our bank account and sending the AWSC the $10 dues has gone flawlessly.  :thumb: It took a little time, trial & error and some help from Web Master Mark to get this thing up and rolling, but it works! I updated the roster information, sent the money electronically and almost immediately the new members were given a membership number, the AWSC sent me a very complete receipt and Pay Pal sent me the activity statement.....all quick and easy, all done on the computer. Real slick. To any membership chairs out there that think you can't do this......give it a try, work through the directions and take your time. You can always correct your mistakes. Don't give up before you try.

PLEASE NOTE: Nearly all of our NEWLBVR members renewal dates are in January, 2016. That means, as of right now, today, you are all paid, legal, up standing card carrying members of the AWSC and you already qualify for the discounted Trail Pass. Your membership # and renewal date can be found on the yellow AWSC membership card that is sent out to all our "primary" members. Your membership # is on the address label of the "Wisconsin Snowmobile News" magazine as well. The AWSC office is swamped right now with people who think they have to get this done RIGHT NOW. There is time before the riding season gets here. Don't flood them all at once.....BUT......DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT wait until the last minute, when there's snow on the ground and you want to ride ASAP. Plan ahead.

I will send out renewal notices as your due dates come up, meaning that not all of us will have dues expiring at the same time. The NEWLBVR club dues and the AWSC dues will be due 1 year from the date you paid.  For example: If your AWSC dues were renewed on January 20, 2015, your membership renewal will be due on January 20, 2016. Your local clubs will be responsible for submitting your dues as quickly as possible but we are not involved in the registration process nor the Trail Pass. You will qualify for the discounted trail pass if your membership in the AWSC is current and that's our only job in this whole thing....to submit your dues promptly as soon as we receive them.

It's new and I know there will be some stumbling blocks along the way, but we're off to a good start. The clubs, the AWSC and the DNR have put out a great deal of information to inform the   snowmobilers of the changes but there will always be those who live in the basement and will ask "When the he!! did this happen? And why didn't anyone ask me" LOL

I apologize for the long post  :-[ but there is a lot of new stuff happening and a lot of misinformation floating about. The newsletter is almost done and ready to go. Included with the news, will be sheets explaining the new Trail Pass requirement and an explanation of the changes to the law that cover "antique/vintage" sled registration and trail passes and a newly updated copy of the Snowmobile Trail Pass Order Form for AWSC members. It's all coming soon. I promise!  :angel:
