Title: A real picture
Post by: Premix on March 25, 2014, 11:11:25 PM
A real picture of the Dun-Good trail we always take to the St Hubert Shrine.....sometimes it's a real piston burner. Doesn't look bad today! I like to get the trail reports from the guy in the groomer rather than a guy in a pickup truck on the road crossing the trail, or a delivery truck or some other guy who isn't even on the trail. Pictures are worth 1000 words and we know :postpics:
Follow this link to an actual picture of an actual snowmobile trail taken by an actual snowmobile trail groomer. Actual picture taken on March 25, 2014. Trails are still amazing!

Yep.... I actually was out grooming a chunk of Dun-Good trail last night as well and I can verify that the photos on their website are ACTUAL and not enhanced in any way.  LET"S RIDE! :rocker:
I wish I could go riding this weekend, however the AWSC Convention in Green Bay is this weekend. Funny the last two years now there was little or no snow in January for the AWSC Directors meeting, yet plenty of snow during the convention in March! :dunno: :banghead:

More pictures coming from Pat's grooming today, went south, the Athelstane loop. Check them out....well give me a few minutes to get them posted on the Dun-Good FB page....then check 'em out. Ride if you're able. Trailer to one of the park & rides if riding from home is out of the question. There's one in Dunbar and one in Pemenee.
Guess we have the bases covered this week end as we will be at the WATVA Convention & Workshop in Wis. Dells. We always learn a lot at these WATVA meetings so it's all good. And it's a chance to get out of dodge.

Were at the cabin this weekend and woke up to 6" of fresh snow on Friday morning. Were the trails closed south of Highway C? there were people out riding around Wheel Inn. This was taken on our road Friday morning not on the trail.

The Marinette County trails will close to ALL VEHICLES on Monday, April 7th. The County will make the decision as to when the trails can reopen for ATV & UTV traffic. This is to protect the trail bed during the spring thaw. Trails are usually closed 3-4 weeks, but with all the snow still in the woods and the trails base still so thick, this could take a while.
NOTE TO POLECAT: Yes the Iron Snow Shoe trails were closed south of C. The trails North of C are now closed for snowmobiles as well. The trails North of C will remain open for atv & utv traffic until the trails close on April 7th. Weekly trail reports were posted at www.marinettecosnowtrails.com
