7th Annual "OLD IRON" Display & Ride

Jan 28th 2017

T-Bob's Sports Bar, Laona, WI
Display Sleds at 10:30 AM
Pull Ropes at 11:00 AM

Lunch and drinks at: Mudslingers
(25 mile round trip ride)

Awards for: "Oldest Sled" - "Vintage Outfit"
"Best Of Show" - "Rat Rod"

All vintage sleds must particpate on ride to be eligible for awards.
All sled age and riders welcome!!

this -0 weather has made good ice on the lake!!

Meet at T-Bob's Sports Bar in Laona WI.
Display sleds at 10 am
Judging 10:30
Ride at 11 am
Ride to Johnnies Resort on Wabicon Lake for a free lunch and then back to T-Bob's (about 15 mile round trip).
Prizes and awards given at T-Bob's for eligible 1980 & older sleds that participate in the ride.

It's a FAMILY EVENT, all sledders welcome to ride along!

Another "Old Iron Ride" in the books!!!! We had a great turnout, with many new faces joining us this year! We ended with 22 vintage sleds, and a few newer tag a longs! Congrats to our winners this year.....

"Favorite Old Iron" went to Amy Elert with her '71 Puma Limo, Runner up went to Dennis Bristol with his '73 Skiroule.
"Oldest Sled" award winner went to John Zawon on his '68 Panther
"Breakdown" award winner of a new tow rope went to Will Grant '72 Skidoo Nordic.

Again I want to thank everyone who joined us again to make this a fantastic

event!!!!

OK, our first Vintage ride is over and it was a mild success. I think that the cold and wind kept a few away. In the end of things we ended up with 12 vintage sleds, 1 teenager sled and 2 new ones ( they were the designated tow sleds). Everyone invovled was very happy and excited about the next one. It was a little cold, but a really nice ride. No break downs and only one stuck, and that was one of the new sleds.
